About Us
For the last 18 years Rising Stars Football Academy has made a life changing impact in the lives of over 5,000+ student-athletes from all across the country. Rising Stars Football Academy was founded by Former NFL Player and Philadelphia Eagle Ron Johnson.
Coach Johnson wanted to create a camp that focused on much more than just the game of football. Typically sports camps only focus on the sport and do not add any development pieces to help student-athletes and their parents.
Coach Johnson wanted to create a camp that provided the full collegiate experience and teach student-athletes 5 main pillars: Academic Excellence, Leadership, Lifeskills/Social skills, Mental Health, and Financial Literacy. He wanted to teach student-athletes how to use the game of football as a vehicle to play in college and help them prepare for their future success in life and in their careers. This was the birth of Rising Stars Football Academy.
RSFA is the only camp in the country that provides a full collegiate residential overnight experience and a schedule that includes 2 pro style practices a day, film sessions by position groups, workouts, and student-athlete development workshops and daily speakers panels.
Our mission is to give our campers an inside experience as to what it is like to become a collegiate student-athlete, and to help them with their overall development in the classroom and off the field to help prepare them for their future success.
The RSFA Coaching staff is composed of former NFL Players, college coaches from the Division I, II, and III Levels, and some of the Top High School Coaches in the country. We also have current NCAA Players who also coach at our camps.
Several RSFA student-athletes have gone on to receive scholarships to play at the NCAA Division I FBS, FCS Levels, Division II, and III levels. Our campers understand that by excelling in the classroom and putting 100% effort into their academics, the opportunities that they can create for themselves. Our student-athletes use the game of football as a vehicle to reach higher education and to attend college on scholarships, or at no to minimal cost, and graduate with little to no student debt.

Mission Statement
The Rising Stars Football Academy is more than a football academy. We seek to teach and
provide essential life and social skills to student-athletes and youth of all backgrounds and
demographics with the aim of fostering their success in the classroom, in their communities,
and on the field. We strive to instill in our student-athletes the importance of academic
excellence, mental/ physical/ emotional health, and financial literacy to help them achieve their academic, athletic, and personal growth and wellness. This is all part of youth development that will help prepare them for their future.
Vision Statement
Understanding the rare probability of attaining a long-time professional athletic career, we want to continue to foster athletic talent and discipline while also ensuring that our students are prepared for fulfilling career paths off the field and in the classroom, to continue into higher education or to seek vocations that will sustain and provide for them after their athletic careers end. Our vision is to ensure that our services and programs are especially available to the underprivileged youth in our communities who financially struggle or who otherwise may not have the support or resources to reach us.
