Rising Stars Football Academy is a non-contact Football Camp for Football Players at the High School Varsity/ JV, Freshman, Junior High, and Midget Football Levels. Our Participants are split into divisions based on their class year.
This year we celebrate 16 years of producing the best football camps and combines in the country. Each year we have graduated participants who go on to receive scholarships to play collegiate football at the Division I, II, and III levels. By attending our camps, these former campers have understood the importance and the value of their education and have taken care of what is most important first in the classroom. They have used the game of football as a vehicle to attain athletic and academic scholarships to work hard towards all of their goals and dreams and have created opportunities to work towards their future careers.
Our Staff
Our coaching staff consists of some of the top high school coaches in PA, and we have current and former Division I, II, and III Players and Coaches. During our camp we have former NFL Players who visit our camp as special guest coaches. These former players share their stories of what it takes to become successful on the field, in the classroom, and in life.
What We Are Most Proud Of
Rising Stars Football Academy Foundation mission is based on five pillars: academic excellence, health, leadership, life and social skills, and financial literacy. These pillars are essential for youth development, and to help guide student-athletes towards success in the classroom, in the community, on the field and for all future endeavors. We focus on these 5 essential pillars during our student-athlete development workshops in the evenings at our camp.
We are more than just football, we also focus on education, leadership, and student-athlete development. We educate our participants on scholarship and educational requirements, leadership skills, and becoming a well rounded student-athlete. Each night at camp, participants will hear from guest speakers and engage in our student-athlete development workshops.
We teach our participants how to succeed on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.
Our regimented schedule and variety of on and off-field opportunities for learning help us achieve our goals for youth development for our student-athletes.
DAILY SCHEDULE
Our participants have a very tough daily schedule at our camp starting at 6:45 am and ending after evening workshops and seminars. Throughout the day students encounter coaches, mentors, and speakers who can provide first-hand advice on the life of a successful athlete, and general life skills necessary for a well-balanced life.
Students have daily “Chalk Talks” which entails a featured football guest, usually a college coach or a former or current NFL Player who shares their stories, and the importance of education, character, leadership, resiliency, and overcoming obstacles. Participants are also inspired and educated by various professionals and guest speakers who host seminars and workshops at camp surrounding the importance of academic achievement, NCAA Eligibility requirements and scholarship requirements, mental, physical, and emotional health, life and social-skills, financial literacy and more.
Our participants adhere to such a challenging schedule in order to teach them about time-management, and the value of being mentally prepared, being coachable, being accountable, being responsible, resilience, and good work ethic.
RSFA Campers come from Central PA, and beyond!
Conveniently located in a central region of Pennsylvania, Millersville’s close proximity to other states and major cities attracts participants from a variety of areas, including D.C., Virginia, New Jersey, Philadelphia, New York, and Baltimore. We have even had participants from the West Coast, Mid-West, Canada and Alaska, travel to attend our camp.
The camp schedule and routine are regimented and packed with activities. Each day commences at 6:45 am for breakfast, followed by the first practice of the day, and then lunch. After lunch, campers report to the quad for yoga and strength training workouts. Campers then have to report to the stadium and practice fields for the afternoon practice session.
The day of physical activity concludes before dinner, after which students report to McComsey Hall for our student-athlete development workshops, seminars, and guest speakers in the evening.
The experience on a college campus provides our participants a window into college life and the expectations college athletes must meet to play after high-school. We teach our participants accountability, responsibility, time management, organization, respect, leadership, resiliency, independence, and countless other important life lessons and life-social skills.
Although our camp is challenging, our participants learn the value of team camaraderie, encouraging and helping one another, and finding community with their peers through a common goal. They learn invaluable lessons in the classroom every evening and work hard at practice sessions, developing their skills to become better football players. Even though we come together for football, we are more than football.
We are Academic Excellence, Leadership, and Resilience.
We are excited to have the opportunity to work with your student-athletes and help them take their game to the next level.
