SUMMARY:2026 Millersville University Rising Stars Football Academy Camp
DESCRIPTION:THE BEST FOOTBALL CAMP IN THE COUNTRY FOR 18 YEARS! \nRising Stars Football Academy is a non-contact Football Camp for Football Players at the High School Varsity/ JV\, Freshman\, Junior High\, and Midget Football Levels. \nOur Participants are split into divisions based on their class year. \n  \nWe are the only football camp in the country that focuses on more than just football. \nWe focus on helping our student-athletes take their game to the next level on the field\, and we also prepare them most importantly for their success in the classroom and with their overall development. \n  \nThis year we celebrate 18 years of producing the best football camps and combines in the country. Each year we have graduated participants who go on to receive scholarships to play collegiate football at the FBS\, FCS Division I Levels\, Division II\, and III levels\, and Junior College. \n  \nBy attending our camps\, these former campers have understood the importance and the value of their education and have taken care of what is most important first in the classroom. They have used the game of football as a vehicle to attain athletic and academic scholarships to work hard towards all of their goals and dreams and have created opportunities to work towards their future careers. \nRSFA Camp Participants are prepared to become successful in every facet of life. \n  \nOur Coaching Staff \nOur coaching staff consists of some of the top high school coaches in the country\, and we have current and former Division I\, II\, and III Players and Coaches. During our camp we have former NFL Players who visit our camp as special guest coaches and speakers. These former players share their stories of what it takes to become successful on the field\, in the classroom\, and in life\, and any challenges they may have had to overcome to reach their goals to play at the highest levels. \n  \nWhat We Are Most Proud Of \nRising Stars Football Academy Foundation mission is based on five pillars: Academic Excellence\, Mental Health\, Leadership\, Life and Social Skills\, and Financial Literacy. These pillars are essential for youth development\, and to help guide student-athletes towards success in the classroom\, in the community\, on the field and for all future endeavors. \n  \nWe focus on these 5 essential pillars during our student-athlete development workshops in the evenings at our camp. We are more than just football \nWe educate our participants on scholarship and educational requirements\, leadership skills\, and becoming a well rounded student-athlete. Each night at camp\, participants will hear from guest speakers and engage in our student-athlete development workshops. \nWe teach our participants how to succeed on the field\, in the classroom\, and in the community. \n  \nOur regimented schedule and variety of on and off-field opportunities for learning help us achieve our goals for youth development for our student-athletes. \n  \nDaily Schedule \nWe give our campers the opportunity to experience what it is like to become a collegiate student-athlete. Our participants have a very tough daily schedule starting at 6:45 am and ending after evening workshops and seminars. Throughout the day students encounter coaches\, mentors\, and speakers who can provide first-hand advice on the life of a successful athlete\, and general life skills necessary for a well-balanced life. \nOur participants have to report to the dining hall for all meals\, the practice fields and stadium for practice\, McComsey Hall and other conference centers on campus for learning labs and development\, and more. \n  \nOur campers learn how to manage their time\, be accountable\, responsible\, independent\, resiliency\, to be coachable\, and more all while they are away from home for the week. \n  \nThe camp schedule and routine are regimented and packed with activities. Each day commences at 6:45 am for breakfast\, followed by the first practice of the day\, and then lunch. After lunch\, campers report to the quad for yoga and strength training workouts. Campers then have to report to the stadium and practice fields for the afternoon practice session. \n  \nThe day of physical activity concludes before dinner\, after which students report to McComsey Hall for our student-athlete development workshops\, seminars\, and guest speakers in the evening. \n  \nChalk Talk \nOur student-athletes have daily “Chalk Talks” which includes a featured football guest\, usually a college coach or a former or current NFL Player who shares their stories\, and the importance of education\, character\, leadership\, resiliency\, and overcoming obstacles to make it to the highest levels. \n  \nGuest Speakers and Special Guest \nParticipants are also inspired and educated by various professionals and guest speakers who host seminars and workshops at camp surrounding the importance of academic achievement\, NCAA Eligibility requirements and scholarship requirements\, mental\, physical\, and emotional health\, life and social-skills\, financial literacy and more. \nCheck out the list of our 2025 guest speakers for our student-athlete development workshops: \n\nCarlos Roberts\, Vice President Chief Medical Officer\, Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery: croberts@wellspan.org\nCoach Melvin Thomas: Former Philadelphia Eagles Offensive Tackle\nHollis Thomas: Former Philadelphia Eagles Defensive Tackle\nJohnnie Hicks: Former Baltimore Ravens Defensive Tackle\, Thaddeus Stevens School of Technology Head Football Coach\nDartez Jacobs\, Business Development Player Care Onrush Mental Health\, Former UFL Player and Players Association President\nJon Schnaars\, Former East Stroudsburg University Wide Receiver\, All- PSAC\, ALL-American\, Attorney Freeburn Law: jon@freeburnlaw.com\nJulie Walker\, Peyton Walker Foundation: julie@peytonwalker.org\nMichael Diller\, WellSpan Health Psychologist:\nSonya Essis\, NFL Pro Bowl Referee\, PIAA Official\, NFL FLAG Official\, NCAA DIII Official:\nMichael Sweger\, LAT\, ATC :swegermd@upmc.edu\nTony Johnson\, Shippensburg University Defensive Back\, All PSAC\, All-American\, Shippensburg University Defensive Back Coach: ajohnson@manitoway.com\nRon Johnson\, Shippensburg University Defensive End\, Shippensburg University Athletics Hall of Fame\, All-Conference\, All American\, Executive Director Rising Stars Football Academy Foundation:ron@risingstarsfootballacademy.com\n\n  \nRSFA Campers come from Central PA\, and beyond! \nConveniently located in a central region of Pennsylvania\, Millersville’s close proximity to other states and major cities attracts participants from all across the country.
